Sydney’s 2016 Twilight At Taronga music program has been unveiled, with super-talented acts like Courtney Barnett, Josh Pyke, Birds Of Tokyo, John Butler Trio and The Waifs to perform near the homes of some super-cute Aussie animals.
Other acts set to perform against Taronga Zoo’s harbour views next year include Missy Higgins, Björn Again, Violent Femmes, C.W. Stoneking and South African a cappella singing group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Catch the full lineup, below.
This year’s Twilight At Taronga shows featured the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Bernard Fanning, Rufus Wainwright and Sarah Blasko.
Next year’s Twilight At Taronga events will help celebrate Taronga Zoo’s centennial year, with open-air shows from Thursday, 28th January up until Saturday, 12th March. Punters can bring their own picnic, or pre-purchase a gourmet antipasto hamper inspired by chef Giovanni Pilu.
All Twilight At Taronga tickets include free return ferry from Circular Quay from 5pm, bus transfers from Taronga wharf to the zoo entrance and post-show buses to Spit Junction and Mosman.
All proceeds from the shows go towards the Taronga Conservation Society Australia, a not-for-profit wildlife conservation, scientific research and environmental sustainability organisation.
