UTS Winterfest have announced their biggest lineup yet, with Violent Soho leading a bill including Golden Features, DMA’s, and Safia. But there’s room for one more and you can decide which lucky Sydney band gets the opportunity of a lifetime to support some of our biggest local names.
It’s simple. Just head over to the Winterfest GiggedIn page where acts can register to put themselves in the running to secure the spot and fans can pledge to the act they want to see by buying a ticket. The artist with the highest number of votes by the 22nd July deadline wins the support slot and if you pledged for the winner, your card will be charged and you get your ticket.
Of course, you can buy a ticket straight-up by following the link below. Your Winterfest ticket will get you up close and personal with Violent Soho, who are coming off a massive 12 months, spurred by the release of their acclaimed third album Hungry Ghosts and the single Covered in Chrome.
The Soho boys will receive support from the likes of Golden Features, whose lush house tunes have seen him garner ever-increasing notoriety in the Aussie dance scene. Joining them will be DMA’s, whose tracks like the gloriously noisy Feels Like 37 have proven they’re more than just a buzz band.
The bill is rounded out by electo-pop trio Safia, who’ve been making serious noise in the last few months with sets at Groovin The Moo, St Kilda Festival, and spots opening for Disclosure and Lorde. Tickets for UTS Winterfest 2014 are on sale now, check below for all dates and details.
