Violent Soho Just Announced Their First Headline Show Since Releasing ‘Everything Is A-OK’

Mansfield’s best, Violent Soho, have announced they’ll return to the live stage at long last with a hometown headline show in May.

Set to take place at Riverstage in Brisbane on Saturday, 1st May, it’ll mark the first shows from the band since they released their latest album, 2020’s Everything Is A-OK.

Given that the album was released shortly after the start of a global pandemic, it’ll mean they’ll be performing many of these songs in front of a live audience for the first time. Support for the show will come from Tired Lion and Seathru.

Speaking to Music Feeds back in April of last year, the band’s James Tidswell expressed his excitement at the prospect of (eventually) being able to bring the songs from Everything Is A-OK to a live audience.

“For us, a big part of our band is conveying what those songs are, live. We really communicate and connect well with our crowd, and that connection adds something to the songs, it’s a big part of it for us, a huge part of the magic. We were all really looking forward to being able to play these songs live and were really excited to make those connections.”

Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 25th March. There’s a sneaky pre-sale kicking off from 10am the day before, which you can access by signing up to the band’s mailing list here.
