When you make your official return to the live arena astride a magnificent Iron Throne of guitars which you yourself designed whilst high as all fuck, you want to make sure you’re properly warmed up.
This is perhaps why Dave Grohl decided to spend some time prior to his glorious return to the stage with Foo Fighters on the 4th of July, jamming with some mates at a motorcycle rally.
As Consequence Of Sound reports, those mates included original Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, singer-songwriter Jonny Kaplan, Foo Fighters’ Rami Jafee, and Blind Melon guitarist Christopher Thorn.
Grohl happily joined the ragtag rock crew for a rendition of The Rolling Stones’ Miss You and Neil Young’s Cinnamon Girl during the rally, without the aid of his majestic throne.
Instead, he has his broken leg propped up on a foldy chair for the breakfast time jam sesh, which took place on the morning of the Foos’ glorious 20th anniversary concert in Washington DC.
