Watch Courtney Barnett Play ‘Sunday Roast’ From Home On ‘Fallon’

Courtney Barnett took to the (virtual) Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage late last week, performing ‘Sunday Roast’ as part of the show’s new At Home format.

From her bedroom, the singer-songwriter delivered an acoustic rendition of the Tell Me How You Really Feel closer.

Barnett is no stranger to appearing on the show, having performed in person numerous times in the past – including a cover of Grateful Dead’s ‘New Speedway Boogie’ back in 2016. Her most recent appearance was back in 2018, when she performed Tell Me How You Really Feel favourite ‘Nameless, Faceless’.

Barnett has kept relatively busy over the past couple of months. In April, she performed as part of the Music From the Home Front ANZAC Day concert. Earlier this month, she played the ‘State of Music’ livestream along with the likes of Paul Kelly and Alex Lahey.

Along with fellow Melbourne artist Evelyn Ida Morris, Barnett is set to write the soundtrack for Brazen Hussies, centred around the Women’s Liberation Movement in Australia. The film is currently in post-production, and is seeking donations – more info on that here.

Back in December, Barnett released her MTV Unplugged live album, recorded in Melbourne earlier in the year.
