Artists have long been commended if they take a fall live and manage to get up and keep going, but it’s a different level of accolade if you crack your skull and keep going.
That’s exactly what Dallas Frasca did when she suffered an almighty fall during her set at the Big Pineapple Music Festival this past weekend.
Frasca decided to crowd-surf mid-set on a giant, inflatable castle before taking a pretty heavy fall. Despite sporting a pretty hefty black-eye she continued to rock-on, as a fan-video (below) shows.
“Once I hit the ground and realised I was still alive I think the feeling of being disappointed that we couldn’t finish our set gave me a shot of adrenaline and I got back up and kept singing,” she said, via Tone Deaf.
An x-ray later posted to Facebook showed that Frasca had actually cracked her skull but instead of showing any sign of worry she said the cracked skull made the whole band “laugh.”
“They must breed them tough where I come from. That, or maybe no brain, no pain, hah hah.”
Frasca has continued to play shows all this week adopting a host of brilliant hashtags on Facebook to promote the shows like: #CrackedSkullOrNot, #IggyPopWouldHaveBeenProud and #fell6ftduringoursetatthebigpineapplefestivalwhilecrowdsurfingonacastle.
The spirit of rock n’ roll is still alive and well.
