Watch Dave Grohl Drum-Battle 10-Year-Old Multi-Instrumental Badass Nandi Bushell To A Foo Fighters Classic

10-year-old icon-in-the-making Nandi Bushell has made a lot of headlines this year.  She became a viral sensation after shredding the Rage Against The Machine classic ‘Guerrilla Radio’ on every instrument in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, after which Tom Morello himself gifted her one of his signature guitars.

Now, the pre-teen rock queen has another music legend in her sights: one David Grohl.

Uploading a video of herself covering the Foo Fighters classic ‘Everlong’ on the tubs, Bushell threw down the gauntlet to the Nirvana drummer-turned-Foos frontman, challenging him to a drum-off.

“My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, @taylorhawkins and all the @foofighters!” she wrote. “Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!”

Grohl has since responded, writing, “Hey @Nandi_Bushell! Challenge accepted”, while posting a vid of himself pounding out the first 30 seconds of ‘Everlong’ on his daughter Harper’s drum set, while noting that he hasn’t played the song on drums since tracking the pots n’ pans himself back on 1997’s The Colour and the Shape LP.

“Haven’t played these songs in a loooooong time…..thanks for the inspiration!!! Your move!!! Your friend in rock, Dave (Thanks to my daughter, Harper for letting me borrow her drum set),” Grohl continued.

Grohl then re-challenged Bushell to rock ‘Dead End Friends’ by Them Crooked Vultures, his sideproject with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, on the tubs.

“Now the ball’s in your court!” he proclaimed.

We’re sure it won’t be long before the ridicumazingly talented youngster returns serve.

“I am going to checkmate this one too!” she vowed, ploughing ahead with what is bound to become, at the very least, the second greatest drum-off of all time.
