Dorky dads are magical, tremendous creatures, and two of the world’s dorkiest — celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and Blur bassist Alex James — have teamed up to embarrass their children by belting out Oasis‘ Wonderwall as part of a DJ set.
Footage of the dorky dad moment (below) sees the pair singing along to the track during James’ DJ set at The Big Feastival, a food and music event hosted on James’ farm in Kingham, England in late August.
So what makes the duo’s Wonderwall performance so dorky? Well, Oliver and his “Broccoli” jumper manage to screw up the intro, before he fist-pumps through the chorus and gives James an awkward (but pretty adorable) dad hug.
Other tracks the duo jammed to during James’ DJ set included Stone Roses’ Fools Gold, The Killers’ Mr. Brightside and Blur’s Parklife. Relive the dorkiest of the dad vibes, below.
In a recent interview with The Independent, James said the old rivalry between Blur and Oasis has turned into a happy ending. “I hope they get back together. They can support us,” James said.
This footage might just be the kick-start the bands’ relationship needs.
