Watch Eagles Of Death Metal Stick It To Terrorism, Return To Paris & Perform With U2

“They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, we’d like to offer them ours tonight,” U2 frontman Bono declared as he welcomed Eagles Of Death Metal to the stage at Paris’s AccorHotels Arena overnight.

It may have happened one day later than expected, but Jesse Hughes, Josh Homme & co have issued a resounding “fuck you” to terrorism by returning to the City of Love to perform, less than a month after the devastating terror attack on their show at The Bataclan theatre claimed the lives of 89 fans.

As Consequence Of Sound reports, EODM joined U2 for a cover of Patti Smith’s People Have the Power, before Bono & co stepped aside for the band to play their own song I Love You All the Time for the 20,000 strong crowd in attendance.

The concert was filmed by HBO and is scheduled to be broadcast in full tomorrow at 1pm (AEDT).

In the meantime, you can check out fan-shot footage of the emotional event, below.

They also offered their thanks to France and to “everyone in the world who continues to prove that love, joy, and music will always overcome terror and evil.” See their full statement here:
