Ed Sheeran has officially made his big comeback, ending a two-year hiatus with new single ‘Bad Habits’. If the new single, and new sound, aren’t enough, he’s shared a music video too.
The single itself is pretty different for Sheeran. It has a super dance-based beat with pulsing synths, while Sheeran’s vocals are a bit faster. It’s a lot more pop-inclined than his previous releases.
‘Bad Habits’ comes with a music video as well. It sees Ed Sheeran become a vampire, adorned in a hot pink suit and a glorious amount of glitter.
He basically runs through the streets causing absolute chaos with a bunch of his paranormal mates.
“Feels great to be back with my new single,” shared Sheeran in a press statement.
“I wanted the video for ‘Bad Habits’ to play on the nature of habits in a fantastical way so I decided on vampires.
“It was mega fun getting into character except for the heights (that wasn’t so fun). Enjoy x”
‘Bad Habits’ will appear on Ed Sheeran’s fifth studio album. He’s yet to make an announcement around the album.
Sheeran went into hiatus following his 260-show Divide tour in 2019. He shared the birth of his first baby in August last year.
