Watch Jack White & Jack Johnson Team Up On A White Stripes Classic

Footage has emerged of soft-rock troubadour Jack Johnson turning up at a recent Jack White show — in where else but Hawaii — and helping the singer-songwriter perform The White Stripes’ classic, We’re Going To Be Friends.

Footage (below) of Johnson, who had previously covered We’re Going To Be Friends for the Curious George film soundtrack, shows him teaming up with White on stage in Honolulu. The intimate show came ahead of White’s acoustic tour, which kicked off in Alaska yesterday. That tour sees him play shows in five North American states he’s never played before, for only $3 a ticket.

White is set to begin a lengthy hiatus from touring in the near future, having toured almost the entire globe over the last 18 months in support of his latest album, Lazaretto.

Aussie fans, meanwhile, are still waiting for another Jack White tour, with the former White Stripes frontman last in the country back in 2012. Thankfully, though, the magic of the internet is helping everyone ease the pain. Watch Jack and Jack do their thing, below.
