Watch Matt Skiba & Travis Barker Go Full Pelt On Some New Blink-182 Songs

Blink-182 are currently tracking their highly-anticipated new album with their newest member Matt Skiba (of Alkaline Trio), and they’ve just teased fans with some juicy footage of Skiba and his bandmate Travis Barker going full pelt on some new Blink tracks.

Posting a video to Instagram (below) of Skiba recording some screamy vocals in the studio, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus says “Screamy Matt is a good Matt” — and he’s right; Skiba’s vocals are pretty darn strong in the clip, in which he sings the lyrics, “What’s the point of saying sorry now?”

As for Barker, he’s shared a video of himself “hitting things while [producer] John Feldmann hits record” on what’s clearly a loud and fast-paced new Blink track — at least, loud and fast judging by the drums. Catch both videos in full, below.

Blink’s new album, which is expected to drop later this year, has been called “a new chapter” by Barker, who in a recent studio update said the band isn’t “striving for mediocrity” but is “looking to kill it”.

Barker has also previously shared this video of himself hitting the skins on a new Blink track, getting fans more and more excited in the lead up to the band’s as-yet-untitled seventh studio album.
