It’s been a long time since we heard new music from MGMT, and after teasing a 2017 return to “redominate your mind hole” last last year, we’ve finally heard new music from the band.
The US psych-pop rockers last released music in 2013, care of their self-titled third album MGMT, and they’ve just performed a bunch of new songs live at the first show of their new tour in Memphis, Tennessee.
It’s the most definitive sign so far that a new album could be released by the end of the year, with the last we heard from the band coming in the form of a cryptic teasing video with the tagline “thEy R stil out there”.
Along with a few brand newies, MGMT delighted fans by performing some of their most popular hits including ‘Electric Feel’ and ‘Time To Pretend’.
