Miley Cyrus was blessed with the task of opening up the 2021 Super Bowl. In a pre-game performance to a crowd of 7,500 vaccinated healthcare workers and first responders, Cyrus delivered an 20-song set, including a bunch of covers.
The performance sees Miley Cyrus maintain her reputation as one of the most multi-faceted pop stars ever. She delivered a roaring cover of Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Head Like A Hole’.
Miley then brought out Billy Idol and Steve Stevens to deliver a rendition of ‘White Wedding’. It sees her thrash around the stage, flexing those rock-geared vocals.
Of course, while she had Idol up there, they delivered their collaborative single from Cyrus’ album Plastic Hearts, ‘Night Crawling’.

Cyrus brings another of her collaborators up. Joan Jett joins her for their recent single ‘Bad Karma’ along with ‘Bad Reputation’ and ‘I Hate Myself for Loving You’.
The set sees Cyrus cover Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’, Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’, and Bikini Kill’s ‘Rebel Girl’.

Blessed with range, Cyrus delivers her original, ‘The Climb’ with a totally different kind of gusto.
A truly iconic set.
