Watch: New Found Glory New Clip ‘Summer Fling Don’t Mean A Thing’

Fifteen years into it and still going hard. Everybody’s favourite pop punk outfit New Found Glory has unleashed a weapon of a clip for the cruisey summer anthem Summer Fling, Don’t Mean A Thing off their latest album Radiosurgery.

Whilst it’s devastatingly cold here, the vibe is infectious. With a theme not too different to My Friends Over You, a previous smash hit from the band, the track is a much-needed hit of summer, and another excellent addition to NFG’s brilliant clips. Of the track, lead guitarist Chad Gilbert has said: “We came up with this idea for Summer Fling, Don’t Mean A Thing because we felt the song lends itself to a fun, summer beach video, but we didn’t want it to be typical. We wanted to think outside the box while living in it,”

Only last week the band celebrated 10 years since the release of Sticks & Stones, an album that not only brought NFG to the front of the pop punk scene, but also brought pop punk to the masses, blowing minds as to what the genre was capable of. Radiosurgery is the 7th release from the band, who used it as an opportunity to pay homage to their roots and their influences.
