Watch Post Malone Cover Alice In Chains And Black Sabbath With Slash, Chad Smith And More

Last year, Post Malone made it clear he knew how to cover a classic rock song. The rapper’s charity livestream event, in which he performed a slew of Nirvana hits, from ‘School’ to ‘Heart-Shaped Box’, was one of the better virtual concerts in 2020 – and definitely proved a fair share of naysayers wrong.

Over New Year’s Eve, Posty took up the mantle once again, headlining a Bud Light livestream concert from a remote location in Los Angeles. After performing tracks from latest album Hollywood’s Bleeding and others, the rapper – who performed the set with frequent producer and collaborator Andrew Watt – closed out his set with a pair of iconic headbangers.

First up, Post covered Alice in Chains‘ 1992 Dirt favourite ‘Rooster’, joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney. They stuck around for the next song – ‘War Pigs’ by Black Sabbath – where they were also joined by legendary guitarist Slash.

You can watch both performances below, and check out Posty’s full set here.
