Post Malone Will Play A Set Of Livestreamed Nirvana Covers For Charity This Weekend

Post Malone has announced he’ll play a set of Nirvana covers as part of an upcoming YouTube livestream event.

Taking place this Saturday, 25th April at 8AM (AEST), Posty’s ‘Stay Home and Jam #WtihMe’ livestream will see the rapper performing from home and will feature a selection of “Nirvana hits and fan favorites”, according to a press release.

Fans will be also to make donations as part of the online event, benefiting the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, which is supporting relief efforts throughout the pandemic. Google.org will be matching all donations made at a 2:1 rate, up to $5 million.

However, if you’re expecting to see some Puddle of Mudd-type cringe go down, this probably won’t be the place to find it. Posty, who released latest album Hollywood’s Bleeding last year, has covered the grunge legends multiple times in the past, such as performing ‘All Apologies’ at a show in Boston back in 2017. As you can see below, he fares much better.

Head to Posty’s YouTube channel here to watch it all go down Saturday morning.
