It’s almost starting to seem like a prerequisite to tease the hell out of your fans if you’re a band with a new record on the way. Queens Of The Stone Age have been doing just that in the lead-up to studio album number 6, …Like Clockwork, dropping a series of creepy animated teasers for songs on the album.
The last 2 instalments are here, set to If I Had A Tail and the lead single from the album, My God Is The Sun. Like previous videos I Appear Missing, Kalopsia and Keep Your Eyes Peeled, they follow the crazed monster beastman thing from QOTSA’s new website in some ghoulish animation by UK artist Boneface. We’d probably recommend watching them with the lights on and a nice hand to squeeze, but if you’ve been following the series, you’ll be pleased to know that My God Is The Sun runs to the full-length of the song and wraps up the whole un-nerving, apocalyptic storyline.
…Like Clockwork is set for Australian release on Friday, 31st May. Josh Homme and friends will be making their way to Australia in 2014 for a headlining tour.
