Queens Of The Stone Age Release New Clip For ‘Kalopsia’ Featuring Trent Reznor

Queens Of The Stone Age have released another animated clip, this time for new track Kalopsia from impending album …Like Clockwork.

The new video opens with the definition of ‘kalopsia’ – “a condition where things appear more beautiful then they are”.

From there we follows the strange, off-putting creature from QOTSA’s new website. It appears as though the creature is seeking companionship but whenever it gets close to someone, that person tends to melt. Bummer.

Like the previous clip for I Appear Missing, the music video for Kalopsia is only around half the length of album version of the song. Once again the animation is by visual artist Boneface, who has handled all the artwork for the album, including the cryptic magazine messages that began last year.

As for the song itself, Kalopsia features the handiwork of one Mr Trent Reznor, who was one of the first collaborators to be revealed working with QOTSA on …Like Clockwork.

QOTSA has posted the full rundown of who plays what on Kalopsia. Reznor takes care of vocals, breathing, kick, and snare. Main man Josh Homme sings and plays guitar while the track also features guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, bassist Michael Shuman, and drummer Joey Castillo

Also, coz we’re generous, we’ve included two fresh live performance by QOTSA who recently played on Later… with Jools Holland. Homme and co played lead single My God Is The Sun and album track I Sat By The Ocean.

Enjoy!
