After releasing a weird teaser video, and then following that with a lyric version clip, Serj Tankian has decided to give his first single, Figure It Out, yet another video remake, just to rub it into the 99%er’s faces. The single comes from upcoming new solo album Harakiri, due out this July.
Harakiri will be Tankian’s third solo effort. After releasing the lyric video for the song today, we can now get an opportunity to check out the song in its entirety. Tankian has described the new album as being more punk orientated, and you can quite clearly see that in this first single.
It will contain 11 tracks, mostly written in 2011, which he claims was the busiest and most productive year of his life: touring SOAD; performing with the Opera Orchestra in Yerevan, Armenia; performing his first ever concert in Lebanon, with the Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra; and writing four records, including a jazz record and an electronic record he wrote with his friend Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence.
