Watch St. Vincent Lead A Solo Street Parade In ‘Daddy’s Home’ Clip

St. Vincent has shared a music video for the title track off her latest album, Daddy’s Home. Directed by Bill Benz (Portlandia, Kroll Show), the clip comes a few months after the album’s release, and see’s St. Vincent performing a one-woman show on the back of a truck.

Premiered via her official Facebook page yesterday, the track’s visual keeps in stead with the nostalgic lens applied to the release’s visual campaign.

In the video, St. Vincent – real name Annie Clark – sets herself up on the back of a flat-bed truck with just herself, a microphone, and later, her guitar. As the truck slowly chugs its way along a slew of empty backstreets, she passes a man reading a newspaper who seems incredibly disinterested and a trio of dancers who get up to lazily dance when a TV prompt tells them to.

The clip flashes between clips of her on the truck, and footage of a television showing her performance.

Watch the clip via her Facebook page.

St. Vincent recently contributed a slamming cover of Metallica’s ‘Sad But True’ to The Metallica Blacklist; a 53-song collection of covers by some of the biggest names in music. The album will be out digitally on Friday, 10th September and physically on Friday, 1st October.
