New York-based indie ensemble We Are Scientists have announced a run of Australian shows, which will see them sweep down the East Coast as well as delighting crowds in Adelaide and Perth. The band are set to unveil their newest release, the Business Casual EP this month.
Bred in California, the band was seeded at Pomona College by two friends who met at a Dawson’s Creek screening. Sharing a vision for a calculated, epic, and melodic brand of indie rock, they cemented themselves as We Are Scientists soon after. Fast-forward to 2013 and the band have released four highly-lauded LPs.
They’ll be traveling with fan favourites Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt, After Hours and It’s A Hit, in tow, as well as Return The Favour and Dumb Luck from the imminent Business Casual EP (14th October).
Tickets go on sale Thursday, 10th October through Tombowler and Metropolis Touring. For your chance to see We Are Scientists in all their loud, explosive, geeky, and sexy splendour, check the venues and dates below.
UPDATE 07/01/14, 12.20pm: Due to pressures of completing their forthcoming record, We Are Scientists have postponed this tour until May 2014 and have cancelled the Adelaide leg. More details here.
