Welp, Here’s Blink-182 Covering The Misfits While Dressed As The Joker For Halloween

There’s a little bit to process with this one.

Last week, Blink-182 celebrated Halloween with a performance at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles for KROQ’s Halloween Costume Ball. At the show, they not only collectively paid homage to Joaquin Phoenix’s recent Joker portrayal with their costumes, but also covered the Misfits – perhaps the most appropriate band one could cover at a Halloween gig.

With Matt Skiba filling Glenn Danzig’s (regular, not clown) shoes for the performance, the trio ripped through ‘Skulls’ from the Misfits 1982 debut Walk Among Us.

Ahead of the show, the band’s Mark Hoppus told KROQ it was the first time Blink had really gone all-out on Halloween.

“I’m sure we have played on Halloween, but we must not have done anything rad because none of us remember anything cool about it. Most of the time, I think we were home because we normally tour during the summers and during the spring.”

The Costume Ball also featured a costume contest with a cash prize – Hoppus jokingly suggested he thought he was in with a chance for his “Post-It Malone” costume.
