Winterbourne Announce National Tour, Release New Single ‘Too Many’

Just a couple of months ago Winterbourne announced they were finally blessing us with their debut album. Now we have the third single off of the upcoming release Echo of Youth — due Friday, 23rd August — ‘Too Many’.

Winterbourne will celebrate their debut release with a national tour. They’ll be visiting Fremantle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.

The new track, ‘Too Many’ was one of the last tracks the indie duo (James Draper and Jordan Brady) wrote for the new album. James said it wasn’t until after the recording process that they realised ‘Too Many’ was the only track off of the album that had an uplifting message. He says it “kind of serves as a response to a lot of questions throughout the album”.

“We recorded this one first when we arrived at the studio in Byron. It was night time by the time we got going and we all sat around in a small circle and just jammed on this song for a couple of hours until we felt we had it,” says James.

“‘Too Many’ is a slow build from one point to another with a bunch of ramblings that rhyme over the top. Much like when you’re staring out into the distance and all the things that are making you feel overwhelmed are adding up in your head but then some thought or chemical brings you comfort, and you revel in that while you walk home listening to music. Plus rhyme.”

Winterbourne will kick off their national tour in Fremantle in October this year and Echo of Youth is set for release Friday, 23rd August.
