A brand new pop music festival has been added to the national music calendar, with Las Vegas’ iHeartRadio Music Festival set to make its Australian debut this October, headlined by demolition expert Miley Cyrus and the recently glassed party rockin’ Redfoo.
The festival will take place at Sydney’s Allphones Arena while Miley is in the country on her national Bangerz tour at the same venue. Also announced on today’s lineup are Australian pop rockers At Sunset, Ghana-born, Aussie-bred MC Miracle and Sydney DJ duo The Faders.
The event takes its name from the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, which has has run as a two-day festival since 2011. Miley Cyrus appeared at the Las Vegas festival in 2013, where she performed her track Wrecking Ball for the first time. Previous lineups have included Pitbull, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Childish Gambino and Mötley Crüe.
The festival, which is co-presented by KIIS 1065, was announced this morning during Miley’s appearance with Kyle & Jackie O. The Sydney will take place on just one day over six, presumably long, hours. More acts are expected to be announced soon. See ticketing details below.
