Hop A Free Lift To Splendour, Courtesy Of Tame Impala

So you’ve hitched a ride to Byron Bay but you’re not exactly sure how to make it those extra few kays to Splendour In The Grass? Well relax, friend, because well known Australian psych rock ensemble Tame Impala have got your travel plans sorted.

The Splendour act are running a free shuttle to and from the festival all weekend, on board a magnificent double-decker bus.

Chartered in celebration of their new album Currents finally being released, the Tame Impala Bus Experience will offer punters free lifts to and from the festival site between 12pm and 6pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

As Tonedeaf reports, pick-up points for the Currents bus are the Byron Bay Surf Club, Brunsiwick Heads Information Centre, and of course, Splendour itself.

All you need to do to roll up for Tame Impala’s Splendour-themed magical mystery tour is log on to the official bus website to stalk its whereabouts (the vehicle contains a GPS tracker) and then head to a designated pick-up point when it’s nearby.

Now don’t tell us Tame Impala never did anything for you.

And hey, while you’re on the bus, you might as well study up on what to do if you get stopped by sniffer dogs at the Splendour gates.

Stay up to date with all of the latest action from the festival via our official Splendour In the Grass Feed, here.
