Foo Fighters Will Perform Live From The Metaverse At This Year’s Super Bowl

Your mates Foo Fighters are entering the metaverse of madness for Super Bowl Sunday this year.

Dave Grohl & co will perform a fully immersive, 180-degree VR show on Meta (AKA Facebook’s ambitious rebrand as a virtual reality platform) after the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals do battle in American Football’s big game.

“Foo Fighters love a challenge — from playing the biggest stages in the world to the tiniest clubs to making movies and miniseries… We’ve pretty much done it all,” Grohl said in a statement.

“But we’ve never collaborated with Mark Romanek on a conceptual set of songs (including one being played live for the first time ever) for a worldwide audience.”

The show will be streamed live on Foo Fighters’ Facebook and Instagram this Monday at 3pm AEDT here in Australia.

“Join us when we cross that one off the FF bucket list!”

Meanwhile, ICYMI, in other Foos news, the band’s new horror flick Studio 666 is coming to Aussie cinemas this month for one week only.
