Einstürzende Neubauten Australian Tour 2013 – ATP Sideshows

Big Day Out isn’t the only festival announcing an exciting series of sideshows. The return of unique music festival All Tomorrow’s Parties will see an eclectic blend of acts wowing Melbourne crowds in February 2013 as part of The Drones curated lineup and in their own respective sideshows.

Einstürzende Neubauten has just a handful of shows whilst in Australia, which will see the German avant-industrialists travel up the East Coast, starting off in Melbourne before heading up to Sydney and stopping at Brisbane.

Founded in West Berlin in 1980 before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Einstürzende Neubauten don’t mess around when it comes to putting on a foundation-shaking live show, reportedly using jackhammers on more then one occasion to ‘rock the house’. Australians may already be acquainted with frontman Blixa Bargeld, who served under celebrated Melbourne act The Birthday Party for a time.

Whether you’re already a fan or just keen to dance to something new, be sure to be up and at them before 9am tomorrow morning when tickets for Einstürzende Neubauten sideshows go on sale.

UPDATE:

Award winning multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey has been announced as the special support guest for Einstürzende Neubauten’s Australian Tour. Harvey and Bargeld go back someways with both previously playing in The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Harvey will be joined onstage by violinist / guitarist JP Shilo and double bassist Rosie Westbrook.
