Axl Rose Will Be On Time For Australian Shows, Promoter Guarantees

Promotions magnate Andrew McManus has, well, attempted to soothe our concerns regarding the soon-to-be-touring Axl Rose‘s punctuality. McManus has insisted during an interview with Triple M that Rose, who’s made a habit out of turning up unfashionably late to his performances, will take the stage on time.

We want to believe, we really do – but it’s hard not to learn from our experiences. It seems to be a popular concern, but speaking to The Grill team, McManus was quick to address it. “Axl will be on stage, on time,” he says, adding, “so any of those fairyheads saying he won’t be, good luck!”

Guns N’ Roses gigs tend to come with a minimum 2-hour changeover time between the main support and the headliners. Last time the band were in town, Aussie fans were left waiting even longer. But Rose appears to be getting his act together. “The great thing is that the last 12 months, he’s been on stage on time. I can guarantee all the punters that do go, he has been exemplary,” McManus promises.

The promoter adds, “He’ll promise you, he’ll be on stage at the right time, so don’t be fearful. [If] you rock out there two hours late and think you’re going to see him… the show will be over.”

The Gunners will be in town with ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo this coming March. Unfortunately The Angels were forced to pull out after Doc Neeson was hospitalised.
