Watch: The Dark Knight Rises Extended Trailer + Promo Posters

Written by Mike Hohnen on June 21, 2012

The third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman thriller-gy is shaping up to be the most hectic portrayal of horror, dismay and action out of all three. Focusing around the always brutal clash between Bane, the freak science project gone wrong, and Batman, the epic will be set in a Gotham City rife with drama and unsettled citizens.

The plot will carry on smoothly from The Dark Knight. Producers have even released a Gotham City legislation as part of their new school marketing campaign, declaring Batman a villain of the city… That is where the story will begin. While we already know that Anne Hathaway will be donning a mask for her role as Catwoman, the film will also have strong appearances from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and of course Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.

The best part for my fellow Batfans out there is that the film is set to be released in less than a month! The marketing machine is therefore in full swing, releasing the extended trailer for the movie and a collection of promo posters, both giving great insight into what we can expect, as well as raising even more questions, that are sure to put people in a mild craze to watch the damn thing!

Check out the trailer below; expect to get really, really, excited.
