Reports have come in that a man in his 20’s was taken to hospital in a critical condition after a drug overdose. The man was taken to Westmead Hospital at around 10pm. A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said he was being treated for a drugs overdose at the Sydney Big Day Out on Wednesday.

Big Day Out promoters announced today that 3 000 more tickets will be available via the official BDO website ballot for the otherwise sold out Sydney BDO event on Wednesday, 26 January 2011 aka Australia Day. This ballot will be conducted over ONE WEEK ONLY, and NO further tickets will be made available for this show.
With the Wednesday, 26 January Sydney BDO tickets snapped up in record time a second Sydney BDO will now be added. It’s only the third time in the Festival’s 19 year history that a second show has been staged in any city.
