ARIA Award Winners 2012 – Live Updates

The 26th ARIA Awards are just about set to get underway. The all-important Red Carpet starts off at 3:30pm followed by the actual Award Ceremony at 7:30pm on GO TV. This year marks the first time ever that the ARIA Awards will not take place on a Sunday. Along with the day, the venue has also changed with the award ceremony relocating from Allphones Arena in Olympic Park to Sydney’s Entertainment Centre.

Of course what would a showcase of Australian musical talent be without some international acts. Taylor Swift is scheduled to perform while Russell Brand, The Madden Brothers, Nicki Minaj and Example will read from cue cards and open envelopes.

Vying for the prestigious ‘Album of the Year’ are 360, Gotye, Missy Higgins, The Jezabels and The Temper Trap. ‘Best Female Artist’ is between Jessica Mauboy, Kimbra, Lanie Lane, Missy Higgins and Washington. Meanwhile ‘Best Male Artist’ nominees are 360, Angus Stone, Gotye, Guy Sebastian, Keith Urban and Matt Corby.

If you’d rather not sit through the ceremony but still want to know who wins then keep an eye out on Music Feeds for current updates.
