Melburnian crooner Chet Faker – or Nick Murphy to his mum – is back with a brand new digital single, Melt, featuring vocals from Kilo Kish and giving us a taste of what’s to come on the forthcoming debut album from the R&B infused singer-songwriter.
Melt is all kinds of seductive, perfect for getting your slinky groove on and pretending it’s the wee hours of Saturday morning already. Brooklyn singer Kilo Kish adds a much-needed feminine touch to the proceedings – all in all, we reckon this one’s a winner.
Mr Faker is just about to hit the road in the ol’ U S of A, kicking off a 17-date tour in Los Angeles at the start of September, after signing to American label Downtown. He’s on the lineup for Detroit’s edition of Melbourne’s own Laneway Festival, as well as having just been announced for the 2013/2014 Falls Festival bill.
