Cloud Control Announce Enormous Free Acoustic Tour

Blue Mountains indie rock sweethearts Cloud Control have unveiled a massive tour today, announcing that they’ll be playing a string of very special acoustic dates around the country this March and April, all with free entry.

The tour comes fresh off the Scar hitmakers’ killer sets at Laneway Festival, where they wowed old fans and new alike. Now they’re stripping back their distinctive sound and bringing it to the road, accompanied by an acoustic release of their latest album Dream Cave, entitled Dream Cave Unplugged.

Speaking to FasterLouder around the time of Unplugged‘s release, frontman Alister Wright explained that the new versions of these much-loved tracks actually echo their early origins:

“When we were writing the album most of the songs would start off on a laptop, writing beats and gathering ideas. But when we were getting closer to recording the album we spent a lot of time playing the songs unplugged, as a four-piece, in my living room in London. We wanted to do that to make sure the songs worked in a really classic way – that the lyrics and the chords and the melody were holding them together before we added everything else to them.”

Dream Cave Unplugged is out now, while the live tour kicks off from Thursday, 20th March at The Saint in Perth, before making its way around the nation.
