Daft Punk Announce ‘Random Access Memories’ Deluxe Box Set

Displeased with the realisation that mankind has in fact moved on from Daft Punk fever, the dynamic French cyborgs have announce that they aren’t even finished with their Random Access Memories album cycle. Today brings news that the chart topping radio favourite album will be released as a deluxe box set, which is now available for pre-order now.

The physical copies are expected to be shipped off sometime in December meaning this could be the ultimate Christmas present for someone. Though considering it will set you back around US$245, we recommend you reserve this gift idea for inner circle friends or non-annoying family. The box set is bursting at the seams with extra features including a 180-gram double vinyl copy of the record with gold and silver foil labels, which any self-respecting Daft Punk fan would go nuts for.

On top of that, you’ll receive a 56-page book featuring pictures of the recording of the album and its film shoots. A 10-inch record will be included that contains a full-length interview with Giorgio Moroder plus the official blueprints for the Daft Punk robot helmets and two life sized posters. The pair have covered all their bases, even including gold and silver USBs which contain the album and various remixes, meaning the box set will have relevance in this digital era.

You will be able to find more specifics on the set if you head over to the Daft Punk official website, which is also taking pre-orders.
