Last week leaked audio of Kanye West flipping-out before his performance on Saturday Night Live leaked and now Ryan Reynolds has released a spoof of said meltdown, detailing it as why his Marvel character Deadpool can’t host the show.
It comes off the back of a change.org petition urging for Reynolds to host the show in character. The petition has so far garnered over 72,000 signatures with the creator Andrew Stege directing it straight to SNL’s Lorne Michaels. Stege has also suggested that Deadpool perform an interpretive dance while the musical guest is playing. Genius.
Now, Reynolds (or Deadpool, rather) has responded, explaining why he won’t host SNL while also taking a cheeky stab at Yeezy. In “leaked audio,” Deadpool says, “SNL took My Life Of Pablo album without asking. Now I’m bummed.”
In an expletive heavy rant he also notes that he’s 50 per cent more influential than MC Hammer, Apostle Judas Iscariot, the KIA Sorrento and 10 per cent more influential than Barbara Bush, The Muppets and Bob Newhart. He’s also six per cent more influential than his fellow X-Men character Wolverine. Interestingly, he’s seven per cent less influential than Urban Dictionary.
That’s something that Kanye would probably not admit too. He said that he was 50 per cent more influential than Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul and Pablo Escobar.
So there you have it. Deadpool won’t be hosting SNL.
