UPDATE 14/02/17: The rest of the 2017 Grammy Award winners have now been announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sydney producer Flume has won his first-ever Grammy Award for his latest album Skin, which has taken out Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

“I’m really proud to be here representing Australian music at The Grammys on this stage right now,” Flume told the crowd upon accepting his award. “I wanna thank all the collaborators on the record, who helped add so much colour and flavour to it.”

Watch Flume accept his award, below.

Skin beat out albums by the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Tycho and Louie Vega to claim the Best Dance/Electronic Album award. Flume now joins an illustrious list of previous winners, which includes the likes of Daft Punk, Aphex Twin and Skrillex.

Flume’s Hottest 100-winning track ‘Never Be Like You’ was also nominated for the Best Dance Recording Grammy, but lost to ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ by The Chainsmokers.

Flume is currently preparing to release a new EP this coming Friday.

The 2017 Grammy Awards’ main ceremony begins at 12pm AEDT today. Catch the full list of nominees, right here.
