In what may come as a bit of a surprise, it seem 50 Cent will be featuring on Michael Jackson‘s forthcoming posthumous release, Michael, with the In Da Club rapper popping up on Monster, a track 50 has described as the 2010 version of Thriller. That is a very generous comparison.
50 didn’t actually work with Michael in the studio though, as he explains. “I didn’t have the opportunity to physicaly be in Michael Jackson’s presence. My DJ, Whoo Kid, he had the opportunity to actually meet Mike, because he was interested in working with me and he said that he had something he wanted me to actually hear, a song he created.I missed an opportunity to be on a record not just with a great artist, but a legend. So I wanted more, and I made adjustments to my cadence so I don’t sound like I sound on music that people have previously heard from me, because I’m adjusting to the production.”
The track which like previously leaked track Breaking News once again seems to be aimed squarely at the Papparazzi and gossip culture. Anyway you can listen to the track here and make up your own mind.
