Looks Like The Tea Party Are About To Announce A New Australian Tour

UPDATE: The Tea Party have announced a 2017 Australian tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their third studio album, Transmission.

Original Story: Good new, The Tea Party fans; it looks like the Canadian rockers are preparing to announce what could be a new Australian tour for the 20th anniversary of their 1997 album Transmission.

The hype started when local promoter TEG Live posted this sneaky teaser to Facebook today:

It looks innocent enough at first, but not only does the teaser contain the word “transmission” — it also looks eerily similar to the cover art from The Tea Party’s 1998 song Gyroscope, which also features on Transmission.

Here’s what its cover looks like:

The Tea Party toured Australia earlier this year, and frontman Jeff Martin also played a few solo shows along the way.

The band also toured Australia in 2015 for the 20th anniversary of their 1995 album The Edges Of Twilight, so a 20th anniversary tour for Transmission seems very plausible.

Now we just have to wait for an official announcement…
