Nevermore Cancel Tour After Band Implodes

American heavy metal band Nevermore have been forced to cancel their Australian tour, scheduled for June, due to band members Jeff Loomis and Van Williams leaving the band.

Nevermore were due to play five Australian dates in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. However, promoters Red Ant Touring posted on Facebook last week, “As you may have read last week over the internet, Jeff Loomis and Van Williams have left Nevermore. This has meant that all tour plans including Australia have been postponed indefinitely. Anyone who has bought a ticket can get a refund from the ticketing agency they purchased from. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused their fans.”

And there was great sadness across the land. That leaves the band as just a two-piece for the time being, vocalist Warrel Dane and bass player Jim Sheppard. Loomis had been with the band since their inception in 1991, while Williams had been involved since 1995. The band were due to tour their latest album The Obsidian Conspiracy.
