Norah Jones Australian Tour For January 2013

Norah Jones will be touring Australia next January according to The Age, who recently interviewed the nine-time Grammy award-winning artist about her latest album Little Broken Hearts. One could easily start pinning her to various festivals like Big Day Out, or a more likely appearance at Sydney Festival. Her last tour saw her play venues such as the Entertainment Centres in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Update: Norah Jones will be touring in February, dates are here

Little Broken Hearts has been described as a darker album than her previous releases, but still continues the diverse music themes found on her 2009 album The Fall and was written and produced with the help of Danger Mouse, who she’s also collaborated with on his Rome project, along with Jack White.

Her first visit to Australia came in 2003, but it was her 2005 tour that saw her return beyond the threshold of superstardom. Now with nine Grammys under her belt, and with a tenth expected, she’ll return here once again to melt hearts with her soulful songs and endearingly unassuming approach to worldwide fame.

We should expect the official tour announcement later this year. Until then she’ll touring a number of dates through the US and Europe.
