Parklife 2012 organisers will be announcing their festival lineup, including all major acts, on Tuesday, 19th June at 8am via triple j Breakfast. You can then find the full lineup right here on Music Feeds. A trailer for the festival has also been released, giving us a theme for this year’s campaign, titled Hibernation Ends Here, pointing at Parklife heralding in the spring/summer season for young Australians (watch below).
So far we’ve heard plenty of rumours about who will be appearing on the lineup, including a few eager acts that have announced their presence early, including Modestep, DJ Fresh, Chairlift, Art Department and MC Labrinth. Rumours include Robyn, Grimes, PNAU, Fatboy Slim, Sirisumo, and both Sleigh Bells and Ting Tings, who are supposed to be appearing at festivals some time this year.
The dates were revealed last week, with the festival kicking off in Brisbane on September 29 before heading to Sydney on the 30th, Perth on October 1, Melbourne on the 6th and Adelaide on the 7th.
Another big announcement for this year’s festival is the change of venue for the Sydney event, moving from Kippax Lake to its original location deep inside Centennial Park. The new location encompasses Loch Ave South and Brazilian Fields, and has beautiful rolling slopes dotted with Moreton Bay figs and a variety of other trees.
