Brisbane’s own DJ Sampology will embark on an Australian/New Zealand tour this June on the back of his debut album Doomsday Deluxe. His forthcoming single Stars, featuring Hannah Macklin, beckons us to “look at the stars” if this is your last night on earth, with her vocals adding lushness to this snappy track.
Doomsday Deluxe will be released this June, and features a number of exciting collaborations. The UK’s Reggae vocal don, Serocee, takes you on a high-energy jungle journey in Around The Globe; London born/Sydney based, Spikey Tee, adds killer soundclash vocals to the Soca/Afrobeat inspired rhythm on One Man Down; and Danielsan features on Save Me – a spaced-out, vocoder cover of Aretha Franklin’s track of the same title. But it’s not all deep and meaningful, doomsday gloom, with Attack Of The Cats providing comic relief – a track inspired by the idea that cats will take over the world in 2012. Doomsday Deluxe is released this June.
