Splendour In The Grass Adds Lorde To Lineup

Splendour In The Grass organisers have today announced that 16-year-old singer-songwriter Lorde will be joining the festival’s lineup, filling the gap left by New Orleanian crooner Frank Ocean after he was forced to cancel his entire Australian tour due to illness.

Lorde is on her way to Australia from her native New Zealand right now, with the teen sensation scheduled to hit the stage at 5:30pm on Sunday evening. All the other acts appearing on the Supertop will now be moving up a slot and your favourite Icelandic nu folksters Of Monsters And Men will be taking over headlining duties for the evening.

Lorde has been making waves since dropping her Love Club EP and its catchy-as-hell single Royals last year and has just released a second EP, Tennis Courts, and its lead single of the same name. The Auckland-born singer has already caught the attention of Grimes and will no doubt impress you at Splendour – or you can catch her on the Best Of The Fest app if you’re not in Byron this weekend.
