The xx‘s Romy Madley Croft has announced her engagement to British fashion designer and visual artist Hannah Marshall.
Taking to Instagram today, Croft has posted a photo of Marshall and herself, along with a ring emoji and the caption, “Last night, a very special person asked me a very beautiful question….I said yes!”
Marshall has created stage outfits for The xx, and has also collaborated with the likes of Florence + The Machine, Janet Jackson and Jessie Ware in the past.
In March 2016, Marshall told Vice that Croft has had a tremendous impact on her life.
“In the last few years there is no one that has had greater impact on the way I see myself and the world around me than my girlfriend Romy,” Marshall said.
“She has a uniquely beautiful mind and heart, one that I feel so grateful to share. Romy’s emotional authenticity, intelligence and creative integrity thread through everything she thinks, says and does. To me, she is the embodiment of living a wholehearted life, one that is brave and courageous.”
The xx are preparing to release their latest album I See You on 13th January, and have already shared album cuts ‘Say Something Loving’, ‘On Hold’ and ‘I Dare You’. The band also have an Australian tour in the works.
