UNIFY Gathering Reacts To “Fake” 2019 Lineup Poster, Says Some Acts Are Correct

UPDATE: UNIFY Gathering Reveals 2019 Lineup Announcement Date, Gives First Look At New Location

ORIGINAL STORY: Victoria’s annual UNIFY Gathering heavy music festival has addressed an “obviously fake” 2019 lineup poster by confirming that some of the acts on the counterfeit roster actually are performing at the festival next year.

Reacting to the poster (below) in a series of tweets today, UNIFY organisers said, “While this poster is obviously fake (we would have many more Australian acts in prime slots on a UNIFY lineup), we are happy to confirm you’ll be seeing a couple of these bands in 2019.

“PLUS the new site for the festival is still in our original home of Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland!”

The “obviously fake” poster, which names 30 acts — including the likes of Rise Against, A Day To Remember, New Found Glory and Enter Shikari — also features “exclusive reunion performances” from Confession and Buried In Verona.

The fake poster says there will be “only 10,000 tickets” available for UNIFY 2019, but organisers said earlier this month that while the festival’s new site “can safely hold” up to 15,000 people, they don’t plan on hosting that many punters in 2019.

In a statement earlier this month, UNIFY organisers dropped some juicy teasers for their new lineup, which they told Music Feeds they “took some risks” with.

UNIFY Gathering 2019’s lineup is expected to be announced in early August, before the festival takes place between Thursday, 10th and Sunday, 13th January.

The 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup featured the likes of Parkway Drive, Architects, The Amity Affliction and Tonight Alive.
