Watch Brand New Play Their First New Song In Six Years

It seems like New York alt rockers Brand New might actually have delivered something, well, brand new, with footage making its way across the internet of the band reportedly premiering new material during their recent show in Denver.

The Long Island group kicked off the set with an unreleased song, which, according to social media sleuths, is titled Don’t Feel Anything. It’s unknown if the song (below) is part of an upcoming album from the band that will follow up 2009’s Daisy.

Last year the band shared photos of themselves at work in the recording studio, captioned with, “A lot has gone on the last few weeks. Some writing, some recording, some new gear, some studio building.” That followed reports of similar studio sessions in 2012.

Nothing yet has been released from either of those sessions, but this week, reports Alt Press, the band mysteriously removed all previous images from their Instagram account, and instead posted a single new promo photo.

They also delighted longtime fans by sending out the first of their long-promised lyric booklets for their seminal album, 2006’s The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me. The booklets reportedly feature confirmation of Brand New 2005 demos finally being released, along with a dollar bill some other goodies.

Things seem to be happening in the Brand New camp, who, it’s worth mentioning, we can probably expect to see on a headline tour some time in the not-to-distant future.

For now though, watch fan-shot footage of their reportedly new material below. It’s shakey, and from a distance. But it’s still Brand New.
