The Belligerents Announce National Tour For Debut Album ‘Science Fiction’

The paradoxically named The Belligerents are back with a brand new single that’s anything but, and a string of shiny new national tour dates to boot.

The blissfully catchy title track from their forthcoming debut album Science Fiction has been described by frontman Lewis Stephenson as “polished in a unique way whilst still holding the core of a rock song”.

Lyrically, Stephenson says he “wanted to bottle that inescapable feeling of being trapped inside a reality you can’t shake — a longing for escape”.

You can listen to the band’s toe-tapping new ditty below, while the disc that houses it is due out next Friday, 8th September.

To celebrate the long-awaited arrival of their debut LP, The Belligerents will be hitting the road throughout October and November on an eight-date national tour taking in stops in Perth, Adelaide, Sunshine Coast, Wollongong, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane.

“As a band we’ve been holding back on playing the album tracks live for what seems like a really long time now”, says Stephenson. “We’re incredibly excited to get back on the road and play them to everyone who’s been with us on the journey so far.”
