Shannon Noll Escapes Conviction After Pleading Guilty To Cocaine Possession

Shannon Noll has escaped conviction and been handed a one year good behaviour bond, after pleading guilty to cocaine possession in Sutherland Local Court today.

The 43-year-old singer and 2003 Australian Idol runner-up pled guilty to being caught with half a gram of cocaine at the Caringbah Hotel in Sydney’s south last month.

Noll’s drug charge came after a series of disturbing incidents at his live shows.

In July, Noll was filmed abusing a concertgoer who had allegedly thrown a beer can at him during a concert in the regional New South Wales town of Nyngan.

Noll later issued a publicly apology, but was dropped from a Queensland event after the tirade went viral.

He later told another audience he still wanted to “bash the piss out of that wanker” who threw a drink at him, before blaming “media bullshit” for the controversy.

In 2017 Noll was also arrested and charged over the assault of a bouncer outside an Adelaide strip club, but the charges were later dropped.

Shannon Noll is currently in the middle of a national tour behind his latest album Unbroken.

The singer is yet to publicly comment on the result of his sentencing over cocaine possession.
