Blink-182’s “Experimental” New Album Will Arrive Before June, Says Travis Barker

Travis Barker has given an update on the next Blink-182 album, and it sounds like it’s due to arrive sooner than we thought!

Speaking to Front Row Live Entertainment behind the scenes of his Musink music festival and tattoo convention, the iconic pop-pubk tubthumper revealed that the follow-up to 2016’s California will be released before June, when the band plays the 25th anniversary of Vans Warped Tour.

“It will definitely be out before the Warped Tour. I think we’ll be wrapped up right after the time we play Back To The Beach,” Travis said.

Then, speaking of the sound of the record, the beatman added: “Literally anything goes”.

“I think we’re creating one of the most important Blink albums, so I’m really proud of it.”

It comes after comments he made back in February calling Blink’s eighth LP “experimental” and saying it’s the closest the band has come to making “something like [2003’s] Blink-182 since that album.”

Needless to say, our ears are ready.

While you wait, Blink-182 fans in Melbourne are due to be treated to a night of Blink bangers performed live by a pop-punk supergroup made up of members from Short Stack, Hellions and Heroes For Hire next month.
